COMPLETE, ONE ON ONE PROFESSIONAL CARE, SO YOU CAN SLEEP AGAIN.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi)
Minimal use of medications to get you sleeping again
Complete assessment of daytime symptoms; anxiety, depression, and habits to improve sleep
Sleep is something we all have done naturally. We spend one third of our lives asleep, and the effects of poor sleep can impact every aspect of life; especially memory, mood, and the overall ability to enjoy time.
With specific expertise in sleep medicine, we employ the most natural, conservative, and effective solutions to restore this most essential part of life (and health). Our goal is to get you sleeping soundly again, and keep it that way, ideally, with as little or no medication as possible.
As part of our program, clients see two specialists - Alex Dimitriu, MD and Lauren Varma, NP with complementary expertise in sleep medicine, pharmacology, and behavioral treatments for insomnia.
With expertise in sleep medicine and psychiatry, there is no aspect of day or night that we cannot improve together. Let's get started today.
ONE in THREE adults suffers from insomnia - whether it's trouble falling asleep or staying asleep; a lack of sleep and fatigue can have tremendous impact on focus, energy, mood and productivity.
Insomnia most commonly results in daytime fatigue and night time frustration. By day, low energy can result in low mood, and increased anxiety - as many as 40% of patients with insomnia will also have a coexisting psychiatric condition - most often depression and anxiety. Unrestorative sleep also causes memory impairment, has been associated with immune dysfunction, and can also exacerbate pain symptoms.
